Who is Your Teacher?

A professional darbuka player

Stuart started playing percussion and drum kit when he was 11 years old. He travelled to India several times to study tabla which developed his sensitivity to tones and melodies on percussion and he spent more than 6 years studying darbuka full time in Egypt and Turkey. In Egypt he performed with Nasser Shamma, Fathy Salama and in Turkey he started playing with Light in Babylon. He has recorded 6 albums and has a busy schedule of international concerts. His latest album is with Light in Babylon called On Our Way.
